IV Chan

IV Chan’s artistic interests are rooted in the complexity of the human body and the mind. She sees our inescapable and corporeal existence as tragic and ludicrous; sordid and pure. Through her practice of creating soft anthropomorphic sculptures, installations, poetry and performances, she reflects her own problematic bodily experiences, while addressing themes revolving around body politics, psychoanalysis, base materialism, folklore and mythology. Probing this specific arena, namely the ”problematic body”, her research seeks to explore alternate perspectives and anticipations of one’s body in society.
